DRAFT MAIL TO MCI-2

To,
The Chairman,
Medical Council of India,
New Delhi.

Respected Sir,
Subject : NEET – UG Exam 2012.
With reference to above subject, MCI is going to start NEET-UG exam implemented from 2012 for the admission in MBBS. I as a parent of 12th std student request following points to be noticed.
Comparing the core syllabus outlined and released on 22nd July’2011 by MCI-NCERT with current syllabus of Gujarat Higher Secondary Education Board (G.H.S.E.B.) based on 11th & 12th std syllabus, one will find that only few topics of core syllabus have been covered and almost half academic year is completed so, NEET-UG exam should not be implemented this year.
As all we know, the 12th std is very crucial academic year and student do preparation since long back starting from 11th std to get prepared for admission in MBBS. As there is a vast difference in Board Syllabus and Core Syllabus of NEET-UG (MCI), student should get enough time for preparation. Looking at this, NEET-UG exam should not be implemented this year.
STUDENT : A child who studies each and every syllabus which their teachers teaches with enough time. Student never denied for any exams, but is it fare to them with so short period notice?
As the core syllabus released is very late, so not the teachers as well as student can match up for the NEET-UG exam 2012 in available short time & hence I request not to implement NEET-UG exam from current academic year 2012.
We all are here to serve Youth of India a healthy and competitive ground in their most crucial academic year of childhood & it’s our responsibility to give the same to them for their as well as ours better future.
Hope you and your good selves with chair as well as your colleagues, be find happy with not implementing NEET-UG Exam from 2012.
Awaits for your generous support for the same.
Thanking You,
Bhavesh shah

  1. there is a vast difference between the state of Maharashtra 10+2 and NEET syllabus and to cope with it within a span of 8 months is very very difficult for 2012 NEET therefore it is requested that the test may please be conducted by 2013

  6. There has been some apprehension from some section of students about taking NEET in 2012. Well, it is quite natural that most of us by impulse would resist change. Though NEET was in the offing since beginning of this year, some students oppose due to fear of failure. These students who are prospective doctors need to adopt to changes very quickly. As all of us know that medical field is changing drastically every moment, students who wish to be Doctors should be prepared to embrace changes readily without a fuss. Students from most of the States in India actually prepare themselves to face State CET and AIPMT. These students are better off when they compare themselves to students from Tamilnadu where there is no State CET and majority of the students dont take up medical coaching. NEET has several advantages when compared to the existing system and it is the duty of learned parents and teachers to explain to the students and encourage the dissident students to take up NEET in 2012.

  7. In WBJEE medical we dont even get to know our scores. Moreover the subjective portion is just a hoodwink. u never know what ur going to get on that since it is manually checked. These state pmts are quite faulty. In Neet atleast we’ll get to know our marks and there will be certain level of transparency in the exam system. And whoever said that geting used to neet syllabus in a short time is difficult?? i’m from a different board and i have already gone through half the cbse sylabus. So what’s the big deal? If u cant get accustom to the change then we are sorry dear, this is an elimination test and only the laborious and genious will survive. If u consider urself as one, then stop whining. Didnt u read Darwin’s Law of Survival of the fittest?? So whoever says that this Neet is unfair be damned. Neet is as per SC orders and we should respect that. Some of us who r used to the internet get to know about different medical exams and we can sit for them but what about those who live in villages or are not privileged to media knowledge? For them Neet is a boon. They can compete for all medical seats from a single exam without worrying too much, even the cost for 1 exam will be affordable for many. To me it is quite fair.

  8. There are very acute and more serious issues this nation is facing today. For e.g. inflation, Poverty, corruption, child labour, lack of health care, homeless people, unemployment, labour exploitation, sex workers, sexual abuse, caste problems, etc., The authors are requested to focus your attention on the above problems to help millions of suffering people in our country. Pl use your infra structure to help poor and needy people rather than being selfish about getting medical seats to earn mega bucks.

  10. There is no problem with Gujarat Students. Problem is only with week students and agents of Pvt medical college in Maharashtra and karntaka based in Gujarat. Their business is at stake. There is state ranking in NEET. Therefore, only meritorious students will survive. Merit manipulation is being done by Pvt medical colleges in India. Syllabus of Gujarat and NEET is more or less same. Language can not be barrier. can anybody tell me that how many students qualified Gujcet with Gujarati version of paper. It is nil. Let Neet Happen otherwise powerful politicians of Gujarat mau be in Raja or kalmadi way .

  11. last year rate for merit manipulation in Pvt Medical college forMBBS admission in the market was
    BVP-Pune Rs. 14.00 lacs.
NKP Salve : Nagpur : Rs. 11.5 Lacs.
Krisha karad : Rs. 14.5 Lacs
Sumandeep Vadodara : Rs 45.00 Lacs complete package.Pune
Dy Patil Pune: Rs. 14.00 Lac.
Do we want to continue like this. If yes, see the future of India such doctors will treat your grand children . Do U like to go to them ? Think. Abolish such corruption in medical education through NEET.
